Where can I get it?
http://www.beautybar.com/

*sigh* I actually put off on doing a review of this month's SS box. Not because I was lazy but because I really don't know what to say other than BLAH. I feel bad for being so underwhelmed by SS because it was literally my #1 beauty sub. But the last 2-3 boxes, I feel so sad when I open them. What makes me sadder is the lack of use of the $15 off $50 gift code I get every month. At least I am enjoying my free year sub to Allure Magazine. Let's see what exactly my box contained.

In my July Sample Society box:
*Borghese Tono Body Crème
*vBEAUTÉ Eye Never Nourishing Repair Eye Crème
*Sisley-Paris Hydra Global Intense Anti-Aging Hydration
*Vincent Longo Duo Eye Pencil in Sangria/White Glimmer
*Jouer Cosmetics Luminizing Moisture Tint SPF 20 in Bronzed

Once again, I don't really know what the theme is supposed to be. Anti-aging? Moisturizing? Either way, I only liked and used two products out of the five I got and I don't know how that makes me feel. On to the reviews.

The Borghese Body Crème reminds me of my grandma and mom. I don't mean that in a bad way but that is what I thought when I saw this. This creme is supposed to lock in moisture and improve the texture and appearance of the skin by firming and smoothing. That's great! It feels okay on the skin and isn't oily and is very rich. But the scent is not a good one. It reminds me of medicine. Needless to say, this is sitting in my mom's cabinet as I type. Oh well.

This is the second tube of vBEAUTÉ Eye Never Eye Crème I have received in a beauty box. That's nice and all but let me honest here, I wouldn't buy this. Not because it isn't good, which I'm sure it works nicely, but I cannot see myself spending $85 for 0.5 oz of this. Like I said in my original review of this on my Glossybox post, if I could get more than one use I would probably be able to tell if it's worth it or not. But since I only ever get one use of the tiny tubes I can't give a proper review.

I heard awesome stuff about the Sisley Anti-Aging Hydration Moisturizer. In fact, I hear great stuff about everything Sisley makes and also how pricey everything is. No lies detected! For 1.4 oz of this wonder moisturizer you would pay $250 on beautybar.com. First off, let me say that this is an awesome moisturizer! Super light weight, not oily or greasy, super hydrating and quick absorbing. Yes, it has two downfalls though. One, price and two, the medicine scent it has and that it leaves on your skin. I am glad I got to try a great Sisley product and got my luxury on but this is a no go for me.

I don't use lip liner. I have a few in my makeup collection but mostly are nude or rosy colored and they are unused. I know what the point to liner is but I usually wear balms or glosses so I see no point in me using one. Despite the fact that I don't use it, I was stoked to be getting a Vincent Longo Lip Liner. I have a soft spot for Vincent Longo because one of my first concealers was a Vincent Longo. Plus, its a great brand and makes top notch makeup. But this lip pencil color is so not for me. On one side I got a reddish wine color (Sangria) and on the other side a glittering white (White Glimmer). Wait, white lip pencil? What do I do with this? Honestly, I don't like wine colors and I don't know what to do with the white side. Maybe highlight my cupid's bow? Either way, this was a bummer for me. I'll pass this on.

This is the second time the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint makes an appearance in my beauty boxes (See my June BB post). And I couldn't be any happier. I personally love this tint and I will happily take every sample of it that is sent my way. This one was way bigger than the one I got in my BB box and is came in the same color (Bronzed). Plus, customer service over at Jouer is on point! They seriously are super delightful and helpful. I emailed to ask a question about the colors of the LMT's and they offered to send me some samples. Yay! This is a great base for foundation or can even be worn alone if you just want a super sheer and luminizing cover. I love the added SPF and do mind the "sparkle" aspect of it. If you want to try it, I suggest emailing Jouer and asking for samples so you too can try this beauty out.

Am I disappointed this month? Yes! Will I be canceling? No, not yet. I hope SS gets back on track because I know they can do so much better.

This box gets 2 stars out of 5. Maybe next month will be better.

xoxoMarshie
